12 Shows to Binge Before Their Fall Premieres
The Exorcist

The Exorcist was one of the biggest surprise renewals this spring, but we have high hopes for the show’s second season.
The Exorcist follows the Rance family as they deal with the demonic possession of one of their daughters and the two priests who help them. The show is a slow burn series that builds the psychological suspense episode by episode, until the dramatic finale.
We’re not quite sure where Season 2 will take up, but Season 1 sets us up for some great intrigue, and with only thirteen episodes in its first season, you can certainly get caught up by the time the premiere rolls around.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

Needless to say, many didn’t stick around when Season 1 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow first aired, but this unorthodox team got their stuff together and seems to be heading in the right direction as Season 3 approaches.
There were definitely some mishaps during Season 1, but Season 2 course-corrected, and we have seen some dramatic improvements. Both Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) and Sara Lance (Caity Loitz) have become amazing breakout characters, but it’s the dynamics of the team that play a huge part in it becoming a fan favorite.
It’s definitely a fun show that plays with time jumping and sci-fi concepts, and it’s much less gritty than its solo superhero counterparts.

The Crown

The first season of The Crown shows us Elizabeth Mountbatten’s sudden succession to the throne after her father, King George’s passing.
It is historical fiction fraught with drama and international intrigue. If British royals interest you as much as they do me, you’ll find the glimpse into this monarchy fascinating, not to mention the exquisite cinematography, costumes, and fine caliber of acting amongst the entire cast.
The Crown Season 1 is streaming on Netflix. Season 2 premieres Friday December 8. – Erin
Will & Grace

11 years after the series finale, Will, Grace, Jack, and Karen are back!
The original eight seasons of Will & Grace focused on Grace, a straight interior designer, and Will, a gay lawyer, who are best friends and share an apartment in New York City. The upcoming season is set to deal with relationship drama, like the original eight seasons, in addition to politics, sex, social issues, and pop culture.
The revival, which has already been renewed for a second season, is set to premiere on Thursday, September 28 on NBC. You won’t be able to find this online, but hopefully you can binge the first eight seasons, minus the Season 8 finale, with TV reruns or by running out and grabbing the series on DVD. – Milka
Stranger Things

The Walking Dead

The Season 7 finale of The Walking Dead might have hit a 5 year finale low, but the series itself still averages over 10 million people who all agree this is definitely binge worthy material.
This zombie apocalypse has done a good job of following the graphic novels, all while keeping the audience on it’s feet with some gripping story lines and amazing make-up jobs. Sure there are some weak spots, but it is still the good kind of scary with some heart-felt characters like Darryl and Carol keeping us hooked every week.
Seasons 1 through 6 are available on Netflix, with Season 7 most likely to go up in September as it has in the past. The Walking Dead returns for Season 8 on Sunday October 22 at 9/8c on AMC. – Hillary
