You’re the Worst

Before You’re the Worst returns for its fourth season, I highly recommend you binge-watch this hilarious show about a group of friends who have a tendency to really be THE WORST.
The previous three seasons have dealt with topics such as PTSD, depression, loss, and divorce, and I am eager to see what the fourth season brings to the table. In addition to an awesome group of main characters You’re the Worst has a kickass supporting cast that will definitely offer additional laughs for your viewing pleasure.
Season 4 of You’re the Worst premieres on FXX on Wednesday September 6 at 10 PM. You can catch up on the first three seasons on Hulu. – Milka
Lucifer

Yes, I’m telling you that you NEED to add another procedural to your watchlist, but trust me, Lucifer is worth it.
In addition to the case of the week, Lucifer explores complex relationships whether they are family relationships, friendships, romantic relationships, or someone’s relationship with God. It’s a fun procedural that’s got it all: sarcasm, strong female characters, intriguing side story lines, and the Devil solving crime. Give this show a shot, and you will not be disappointed.

Mom

Christie meets her mom at an AA meeting and ends up reforming their relationship.
This Chuck Lorre series is as hilarious as it is sad since it’s sometimes hard to tell who is the parent and who is the child. Getting sober is just the beginning for Christie, who still has plenty to sort out. She’s sleeping with her boss and has just discovered that her teenage daughter Violet is pregnant.
What really carries this show is the chemistry between Bonnie and Christie, who share some witty back and forth dialogue, and their friends from AA who often provide a sounding board. While the show does hit some hard issues regarding addiction and recovery, its ability to balance the light and the dark is something to be admired.
You catch up the three season on CBS.com and CBS All Access. Mom returns for a 4th season on Thursday November 2 at 9/8c on CBS. – Lauren
Mr. Robot

Now’s a good time as any to start Mr. Robot. You’ll be hooked after the first episode.
Definitely not for the procedural lover, this show presents itself in pieces, and as a viewer, you get to put the puzzle together. The psychological thriller that follows Elliot, played by breakout star Rami Malek, as the young programmer who works as a cyber-security engineer by day and a vigilante hacker by night. Christian Slater has never been stronger in his portrayal of Mr. Robot. The writing and music add a whole new level to how this show is extraordinary.
Both Season 1 and 2 are free to watch through Amazon Prime. Mr. Robot returns Wednesday October 11 at 10/9c on USA. – Hillary
Lethal Weapon

Broad City

The fourth season of Broad City is finally almost here, and if you haven’t familiarized yourself with this gem of a show yet, now is the perfect time to do that.
Broad City‘s heroines Abby and Ilana, twentysomething BFFs juggling employment, relationships and more, are so damn relatable and hilarious, and their adventures in New York City will definitely make you laugh out loud. The show also has the best guest stars from Amy Poehler to Hillary Clinton.
Season 4 of Broad City premieres on Comedy Central on Wednesday September 13 at 10 PM. You can catch up on the first three seasons on Hulu. – Milka
