The Bold Type Photo Preview: Swipe Left On Stress (Season 1 Episode 8)

On The Bold Type season 1 episode 8, “The End of the Beginning,” Sutton and Jane must deal with the fact they might get fired from Scarlet, while Kat wrestles with telling them that her job is safe.

Jacqueline puts Kat in an awkward position, but it’s not a new one.

When layoffs begin, it’s routine for bosses to directly assure the workers they want to stay that their job is safe, so they don’t go around applying for other jobs that might snatch them away.

But this knowledge doesn’t make Kat’s decision any easier. She doesn’t want to break Jacqueline’s trust by telling her best friends what she told her. However, she also doesn’t want to break the trust of her best friends by keeping this from them.

I’m honestly surprised Jane’s job is on the chopping block considering how many articles she’s gotten a pat on the back for writing. On the same coin, Sutton has exceled at her job by getting that super exclusive dress for Oliver last episode and the impossible-to-get diamond necklace for him the episode before that.

Yet, here are both Jane and Sutton, worried about losing their dream jobs.

Will Kat tell them the information Jacqueline told her? Will Jane and/or Sutton lose their jobs? I guess we’ll have to watch Tuesday’s episode of The Bold Type to find out.

Episode Description: As rumors of layoffs at Scarlet sweep through the office leaving everyone unsettled, Jane learns of a potential opportunity at a rival publication. Sutton is given a big opportunity when a coworker buckles under pressure. Kat is tasked with organizing a “Readers Night” for Scarlet, but is distracted by thoughts of Adena – leading to a big decision.  And Jane talks Sutton and Kat into joining her on a dating app.
