Marie Avgeropoulos Talks Octavia and the Bunker in ‘The 100’ Season 5 [Video]

We had a chance to chat with The 100 ’s Marie Avgeropoulos at San Diego Comic-Con this year to discuss Octavia’s ascension to the kind of leadership position she never dreamed of having.

Avgeropoulos also touched on how Octavia deals with the different dynamics of the bunker and whether her new role makes it easier for her to understand Clarke.

For Avgeropoulos, the interesting thing about the bunker is that Octavia is there “with a mixed bag of clans” and they aren’t necessarily letting go of old animosities.

So it falls to her to find a way to punish them for bad behavior and to have consequences while living in a very confined space.

“You can’t float people in a bunker,” she teased.

She added that the new position Octavia is in might allow Clarke to give her “the respect she deserves” while also making it so that Octavia can appreciate that Clarke has “always been the one who had to make the hard decisions.”

That sounds like an interesting conversation, when and if it happens.
