9. Psych

Psych is another show that had its fair share of dramatic episodes, but more often than not, the silly case-of-the-weeks were wacky and light-hearted.

They parodied everything from Twin Peaks to American Idol to “The Shining.” There was a musical episode, a found-footage style episode, and holiday episodes.

Whatever you’re in the mood to watch, chances are an episode of Psych will satisfy you.

Recommended Episodes: “Pilot,” “Spellingg Bee,” “American Duos,” “Black and Tan: A Crime of Fashion,” “Talk Derby to Me,” “Gus Walks into a Bank,” “Dual Spires,” “Last Night Gus,” “Office Space,” “S.E.I.Z.E. the Day”

Psych Seasons 1 – 8 are available to purchase on iTunes.

10. Pushing Daisies

Combine a well-done police procedural with a fairytale and you get Pushing Daisies.

The visually stunning show is incredibly heart-warming, especially for a show about a guy who can bring anything dead back to life. Its charming characters and optimism will win you over in a heartbeat.

Katie is a recent college graduate who spent most of her free time at school binge-watching shows like Battlestar Galactica, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Fringe, and Hannibal. She has watched every single episode of Lost at least ten times each (yes, even “Stranger In A Strange Land”). Current favorites include a bunch of comedies, lots of superhero shows, and a few shows with quite a bit of murder in them.

  • Bob’s Burgers is absolutely fantastic. There a lot of animated shows out there, but this one manages to stay “clean” and still be really funny. Lin in particular, cracks me up on every episode, I think it’s probably the way she talks 😛

    • Yes! It’s so funny without being crude or mean. And John Roberts does such a great job as Linda.
