Tell-Tale TV’s Top Moments From Oct 23-29
Tell-Tale TV’s highlights of the week includes a brutal, gruesome murder of a beloved character, a mother saying goodbye to her sons, and a sweet marriage proposal.
Not everything can be listed, but here are the top TV moments from this week in no particular order.
The Walking Dead

Glenn, a series-regular since the first season, met his bloody, gut-wrenching, and excessively violent end in the Season 7 opener of The Walking Dead.
Considering that Glenn has escaped death numerous times, most notably last year’s Glenngate when he hid under a dumpster, it’s hard to not feel jerked around by these writers. Glenn was not just a fan-favorite, but he represented human goodness in a bleak, horrifying world. His capacity for compassion, forgiveness, and mercy made him the heart of the show, making his death even more painful than the ones that came before it.
Glenn’s mark on the show is indelible, and his chilling last words to his wife, Maggie, “I’ll find you,” will haunt the viewers for years to come.
The Good Place

On this week’s The Good Place, Chidi risks everything by confessing what he’s done and trying to convince Michael to let Eleanor stay. Chidi and Eleanor’s relationship has been rocky, and it’s caused Chidi a lot of stress, so it’s sweet to see him standing up to Michael on her behalf, especially considering how non-confrontational he’s been in the past.
American Horror Story: Roanoke

Supernatural

After a few weeks back from the dead, Mary Winchester decides to leave Sam and Dean again. She missed too many years away from them, and coping is proving to be more challenging than she first thought it would be. She bid them a tearful goodbye – for now. We have a feeling that she won’t be able to stay away from her boys for too long. She is a Winchester, after all.
Jane The Virgin

There were lovely moments throughout this week’s Jane The Virgin, but the sweetest ones occurred between Jane and Michael, further solidifying their Relationship Goals status.
Even though Jane’s worried that Michael wants to continue his job as a cop even after his near-death experience, she ultimately compromises and accepts his choice. Later, when Michael surprises Jane with a fake honeymoon in their bedroom, Michael is so in tune with his wife’s feelings that he suggests she research Mateo’s biting problem instead. These two just get each other.
