Moments of the Week

Fall TV is in full swing, and the Tell-Tale TV team has complied a list of moments that stood out this week.

From series premieres to the return of some of our favorite shows, this list serves as a reminder of all the shows to tune into.

Not every moment can be listed, but here are the top TV moments from this week in no particular order.

One moment that really stuck this week was in the Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 finale, “North” when Madison and Travis talk about sticking together and the inevitability of having to kill again to either survive or protect the ones they love.

Both characters have gone through major transformations, although Travis is the last one to really shed his past life skin. Madison and Travis have finally accepted this new world and they’re going to find their place in it, no matter what.

Intriguing and ambitious, Westworld plays with sci-fi and western genres, resulting in a mind-bending, world-building show about robots and free-will. The first episode creates a distinctive mood and is visually potent, making it an instant highlight this week.

Grey’s Anatomy

GREY'S ANATOMY - "I Ain't No Miracle Worker" - A car crash at a funeral brings a bickering family into the hospital. Back from New York, Arizona ends up caught between Alex and Andrew. While Ben takes on a new parenting role, Amelia helps Meredith and Maggie through a problem, on "Grey's Anatomy," THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Richard Cartwright)

On Grey’s Anatomy, Meredith admitted to having the “miracle dream” about Derek. She tells Riggs, “He knocks at the door. Says he forgot his keys, and he’s sorry for being gone so long.” Cue the tears!

The Big Bang Theory

On The Big Bang Theory, an exhausted Sheldon came down from a caffeine high and showed a vulnerable side we rarely see.

He admitted he couldn’t figure out the math needed for the project he and the guys have been working on, and even said that he may not be as smart as he thinks he is. Then he promptly fell asleep on Leonard.

Timeless

When Timeless’ Rufus was met with a condescending, racist cop in the 1930’s, he listed the future achievements of Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, and Mike Tyson before delivering his final line: “I hope you see it all, because the future is not on your side.” The pilot’s funny and relevant quote indicates a key awareness on the show’s part, which we hope to see more of as the show progresses.
