Guilt Season 1 Episode 5 Review: The Eye of the Needle | Tell-Tale TV

Guilt Review: The Eye of the Needle (Season 1 Episode 5)

Guilt, Reviews

I’m so proud of you, Patrick, for doing more police work than the cops. Okay, maybe that’s a bit unfair to the police, but it certainly does look like they aren’t digging into Molly’s life anymore on Guilt Season 1 Episode 5, “The Eye of the Needle.”

Please tell me that Patrick is about to start taking photos of that ledger? It’s the smart thing to do. Gotta have backups in case Finch takes it back.

Of course, Patrick doesn’t uncover anything new, well new to us, anyways. I wish he could have stumbled upon something that we didn’t already know. All we learned from his excursion is more about the layout of the club, which isn’t all that exciting.

Side note: how did Patrick come up with all this information on the club? He has freaking blueprints. I remember Kaley telling him about the club, but I thought all Patrick knew was that it existed. Is my terrible memory failing me once again or did we just miss a big part in Patrick’s investigation?

I also think that Patrick should turn the ledger over to the cops. I mean unless it goes on to list names with each numbered gentleman (doubtful), Patrick is at a dead end. He proved Molly worked there, but that’s as far as he can go.

I’ve really enjoyed the scenes between Grace and Natalie. I’m starting to fall in love with their relationship, especially now that we finally get to see them goof off a little and act like normal sisters who aren’t going through this traumatic ordeal.

It’s nice seeing that sisterly bond. Both Natalie and Grace become more likable as a result. It also makes me want Natalie to be right about Grace’s innocence because can you imagine how devastated Natalie is going to be if she discovers her sister is a stone cold liar and a murderer?

I’d love to see Gwen doing something more than antagonize Grace and Luc. She got her job for a reason, so let’s have her prove that she isn’t just someone with a chip on her shoulder.

It looks like Gwen spots something in the crime scene photos. Anyone have any idea what caught her eye?

DS Bruno is about to plant the blood when he realizes that it can’t be Neville — Molly was killed by someone who is right handed, and Neville is left handed. You can look at it one of two ways: DS Bruno doesn’t want to risk exposing his blood planting ways on someone who obviously isn’t the killer or he really does want to get the killer.

I like to think that DS Bruno really does want justice, and that he’ll only use the blood whenever he’s sure he’s caught the killer. He only planted evidence the last time because he was sure he had caught the right guy but didn’t have enough to lock him up.

Plus, it’s just smart. If there’s a chance that something can rule out the suspect, then people will start to wonder how the blood got there. Then there’s the fact that Prince Theo will tell DS Bruno that he’s not off the hook yet because a killer hasn’t been found.

Stan: After the two of you jumped a train to Paris, bail is about as realistic as the tooth fairy.

Suspect round up:

Molly: “No one can know, Luc, ever.”

Luc: “And no one will ever know, no one except you and me. It’s our secret.” What secret is the shadiest power couple keeping about that night?

Theo: Hello, did you see his face when Roz insinuated that he killed Molly? I was actually afraid for Roz, and I don’t even like her.

Finch: If Molly threatened his business, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill her. He takes out a member of Parliament to keep his company safe. The poor dog is going to be traumatized.

Neville (@needle_and_thread): Congrats! You’ve been cleared. You are no longer a murder suspect, but you’re probably facing jail time after what you did to Grace.
