19. Jackson and April try to talk divorce.
Ever have one of those conversations where you just you think it’s one thing and the other person thinks its something else? And then when you discuss it together, it makes sense even with both intentions on the table?
That’s what happens here with Jackson and April. April is hoping for reconciliation because they are at a nice restaurant and Jackson wants to talk about divorce. In the end, we don’t know which way this conversation is going to go.
20. But, then they sleep together again.
In the final seconds of the episode, it cuts back to Jackson and April in a bed, just like their relationship began. Except this time, instead of a lovely shade of afterglow, they both wear expressions that say nothing but “Oh my god! What did we just do?”
21. April fights with Jackson because she’s hoping this means they can reconcile.
In “Things We Lost in the Fire,” Jackson and April avoided the subject of their marriage and their slip back into bed together because they both worry that the other thinks it means something different — and they are terrified of what that means for their relationship.
22. Jackson serves her divorce papers anyway.
We already know that April got the divorce papers in “The Sound of Silence” but this week we get to see exactly how they were served to her.
