The couples on this list have had their ups and downs. That’s a given on TV. You can’t get to the Promised Land without a little bit (a lot) of heartache. But they’ve made our hearts beat faster, our stomachs clench, our hands sweat. They’ve made us feel. And that’s why they made it.
7. Luke Cage x Jessica Jones, Jessica Jones
Holy chemistry, Batman! Wait, wrong superhero. Wrong company. Still, the way these two light up the screen when they’re together is nothing short of amazing. And yet, that’s not our favorite thing about them, no. There’s plenty of passion every time Luke and Jessica come together, but you know what’s at the core of why this relationship works? Honesty. Plain and simple. Imagine that!
6. Laura Hollis x Carmilla Karnstein, Carmilla
Sure, Carmilla is a vampire with evil relatives and Laura can be an immature child who sometimes doesn’t know what she wants. But, oh, do these two love each other. And when I mean love each other, I mean real I’d give up anything for you love, not your typical college sort of infatuation.
5. Bellamy x Clarke, The 100
Though not exactly canon (yet!), Bellamy and Clarke were on everyone’s mind this year. You know why? Because even when these two aren’t on screen together, even when their personal storylines are not related, in any way, Bellamy and Clarke gravitate towards each other. They’re not a couple, no, but they’re partners. They’re friends. They care. And so do we.
4. Deeks x Kensi, NCIS. LA
If this is not the biggest surprise of the year, I don’t know what is. Going from a will-they-or-won’t-they couple to an established, mature and drama free pairing is not easy. And, sure, they’ve had their ups and downs, but they love each other, they’re ready for commitment, and most importantly, they’re really and truly partners. In everything.

Bellarke, Hollstein and Olicity as number one? This is a fantastic list. My top three current ships so rarely make it on a list together. I love it.
Olicity should really be number 1 because they have gone through so much within this year and still made it out together. There is no question that Felicity survives being shot. I just think her condition might be more complicated than any of us will believe.
This hit me with too many FEEEEELSSSAHHHH. Olicity has taken over my life and I aint complaining! Such a beautiful mature relationship being portrayed on TV by 2 very talented actors who approach their characters and this relationship with so many layers and depths. TOO BEAUTIFUL FOR THIS WORLD
