Outlander: Episode Descriptions and How to Watch
Based on the book series of the same name by Diana Gabaldon, Outlander was created by Ronald D. Moore and premiered in 2014. It combines elements of romance, historical fiction, and time travel.
Outlander follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945, who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743. Upon her arrival, she is immediately thrown into an unknown world where her life is threatened.
When she is forced to marry Jamie Fraser, a chivalrous and romantic young Scottish warrior, a passionate relationship is ignited that tears Claire’s heart between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.
The series stars Caitriona Balfe as Claire Fraser, Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser, Sophie Skelton as Brianna MacKenzie, Richard Rankin as Roger MacKenzie, John Bell as Young Ian, and David Berry as Lord John Grey.
Outlander airs Fridays on STARZ.
