The second half of Marvel’s Defenders is a much more exhilarating ride than its first four episodes. But, sadly, the series ends up being something less than the sum of its parts.

Marvel’s The Defenders gets off to an almost painfully slow start. But when the show finally brings our four titular heroes together for the first time, the slog feels totally worth it.
