27 TV Lawyers We Would Hire in a Heartbeat - Part 2

How I Met Your Mother’s Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel) is the kind of lawyer you’d love to be friends with. He works hard and wants to do what’s right, no matter what.

8. Will Truman (Will & Grace)

27 TV Lawyers We Would Hire in a Heartbeat - Part 2

Will Truman (Eric McCormack) is another incredibly likeable lawyer on this list. He’s funny, witty, caring, and loyal, and even better, he’ll be returning to our TV screens for the Will & Grace revival in the near future.

9. Bobby Donnell (The Practice)

Bobby The Practice

Played by Dylan McDermott, Bobby Donnell from The Practice gained success thanks to his hard work and passion for the law.

Even though he wants to be a lawyer to protect the innocent, he’s not above representing drug dealers and shady criminals, and he fights for them just as hard.

10. Ally McBeal (Ally McBeal)

Eccentric? Sure. Neurotic? You bet. But that doesn’t mean Ally McBeal (Callista Flockhart) isn’t good at what she does. She’s passionate about her work, and you’d definitely want her on your side.

11. Jessica Pearson (Suits)

Jessica Pearson, played by Gina Torres, is among the most badass lawyers on this list. She’s smart, tough, and as loyal as they come.

She may no longer be a regular character on Suits, but rumor has it a spin-off focused on her is in the works. Let’s hope that happens.

12. Will Gardner (The Good Wife)

Will Gardner The Good Wife

I know, I know. I’m ripping your heart out with this one. The Good Wife’s Will Gardner was clever and passionate, but sadly, was killed in the courtroom while defending a client. It’s a TV death many of us still aren’t over.

  • Hmmm, in 1981 I would have hired Joyce Davenport (Veronica Hamel) of “Hill Street Blues.” For grins, tweet to NBC’s Law & Order SVU and ask that they include a cameo of “Judge Davenport” in SVU before the show ends. She deserves it! In the mid-80s, I would have hired L.A. Law’s Grace Van Owen (Susan Dey) and Ann Kelsey (Jill Eikenberry).
