Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 4 Review: Date Night at Shake Shack
While Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 3, “Resurrection,” had us smiling and laughing for the bulk of the hour, it’s a more suspenseful and somber affair on Slow Horses Season 6 Episode 4, “Lost and Found.”
Yes, there are still some of the standard Slow Horses quips that we’ve come to know and love, but the stakes are noticeably higher, especially with River, Sid, and Coe coming face to face with the assassins not once but twice during the episode.
One of the unexpected developments of “Lost and Found” is that Frank seemingly had no idea that the slow horses, to include his son, are being targeted.

He was not prepared for Lamb to drop that tidbit during their dinner date, and it is unclear how he’ll react to this development.
Frank’s a wildcard. He could not care that River is potentially going to get killed, or he could be upset that this was kept from him and retaliate against Damien in some way. He’s already hired two lackeys, and they work for him, not Damien.
Hopefully, Frank decides to go rogue.
That would be far more entertaining than him just continuing along with the plan of getting rid of witnesses, and it would be fun seeing him mess with Damien and Vassily’s agenda.
Plus, it could lead to him interacting with Slough House in a situation where he isn’t trying to kill them, which would likely throw River for a loop.

Through Vassily and Diana’s call, we know that he wants the agent responsible for the hit on the woman in Russia, and he believes that it was Sid Baker, although we know that she wasn’t responsible.
But if that is his goal, why have slow horses, past and present, been murdered? The assassins showed up at River’s grandfather’s house looking for him, not Sid.
The only thing that would maybe make sense is for Vassily to have some kind of intel that Sid Baker was a cover name used by a slow horse who did the job. Either that or the people who came to Sid’s village looking for her are not the same assassins chasing her, River, and Coe.
There are still two episodes to go, so Slow Horses has some time to clear all this up.

Coe, my dear, we barely knew you, but we loved you and your mysterious ways.
You and your little push knife will be missed by us all, especially Shirley. I doubt she will handle losing another partner well.
His death is a reminder that Slough House is up against trained killers, and the odds are stacked against our misfit spies. Coe was probably the one best equipped for a hand-to-hand fight with these guys (aside from Flyte, who is at least armed), and he did put up a brilliant fight. But he was outmatched.
Stray Thoughts
- Of course the safe house is Diana’s. This is a typical Lamb stunt.
- I bet River will be shocked that he didn’t come up during Lamb and Frank’s conversation.
- Welcome to Slough House shenanigans, Flyte!
- Do we think Diana will be able to keep her job as first desk after all of this is said and done?
- Unfortunately for Sid, it looks like River was right to warn against calling Diana.
