Tires Renewed for Season 4 at Netflix
Workplace comedy Tires is returning for another tune-up in the shop. The series has been renewed for Season 4 by Netflix.
This renewal was exclusively reported by Variety. The next comes shortly after Tires Season 3 premiered on Netflix earlier this month.
Set in Pennsylvania at the fictional Valley Forge Automotive Center, Tires follows Will Jacobs (Steve Gerben), the manager of the family-owned business, and his attempt at running it. Will butts heads with this cousin, Shane Flanagan (Shane Gillis).
Tires was created by Gerben, Gillis, and series’ director John McKeever. The series is actually filmed at a real auto-repair chain owned by Gerben’s father.
Both Gillis and McKeever expressed their excitement to return for a fourth season. “I love this show and everyone who works on it. Excited to make more,” McKeever said, per Variety.
The third season of Tires reportedly ranked no. 5 on Netflix’s global streaming charts by August 17, shortly after its premiere, per The Hollywood Reporter. Tracey Pakosta, Netflix’s vice president of U.S. comedy, pointed to this in a comment on the series’ renewal.
“Tires continues to deliver the unapologetic comedy and authentic point of view Shane, John and Steve’s fans know and love, and Season 3 hitting its highest-ever Top 10 ranking proves this fandom just keeps growing,” Pakosta shared.
“We love working with this team and can’t wait to see what’s next for the Valley Forge crew in Season 4,” Pakosta added.
The other main cast members of Tires include comedian Stavros Halkias, Chris O’Connor, and Kilah Fox. Thomas Haden Church joined the series during Season 3 as Phil Flanagan, Shane’s father.
Gillis, McKeever, and Gerben all serve as executive producers on Tires, alongside Brandon James, Brian Stern, Ken Slotnick and Becky Astphan.
The series is produced by Rough House Pictures, Dad Sick Productions and AGI Entertainment.
