What to Expect from Silo Season 3 Episode 1: A Whole New World
After a year-and-a-half hiatus, Apple TV’s dystopian drama series Silo is finally returning for season 3.
A lot has happened since we last saw Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson). On Silo Season 2 Episode 10, “Into the Fire,” we see her make a brave trip back to Silo 18, working against the clock to get there before they meet the same fate as Silo 17.
Through that daring feat, though, she’s caught in the silo’s incinerator with Bernard, where they endure thousands of degrees of flames. While she was only trapped for three minutes, it was enough to damage her memories and put her in a temporary coma.
As the trailer below indicates, season 3 will feature a three-month time jump, with Juliette working to restore her memories and adapt to her new role as mayor amidst ongoing challenges.
Meanwhile, unlike previous seasons, the series will also explore the Before Times timeline. After years of pondering over burning questions about where the silo’s originated from over 300 years ago, fans will finally get those long-desired answers.
Silo‘s season 2 finale hints at there being an ongoing conflict between the U.S. and Iran, the possibility of a radioactive bomb having been used, and potential retaliation on the cusp.
The Before Times will follow Daniel (Ashley Zukerman), a congressman from Georgia, and Helen (Jessica Henwick), an investigative journalist.
Through their story, connections between the two timelines will emerge, parallels between seasons will come to light, and the bloody truth behind who is at the center of control for the silos will finally be revealed.
