Created by Courtney A. Kemp (creator of Power) and Tani Morale, Nemesis is a crime drama following Los Angeles Police Department officer Isaiah Stiles (Matthew Law) and his hunt for master thief Coltrane Wilder (Y’Lan Noel).

Kemp told Netflix’s Tudum about her excitement at Nemesis receiving a second season. “I feel blessed to get a Season 2. We thank the fans, it’s because of them — there’s no other reason.”

“It’s them showing up, them talking about it, and their huge social media response… We are grateful to Netflix for recognizing the power of our audience and bringing us back for the fans,” Kemp added.

Nemesis Season 1 ended with Stiles and Wilder’s chase only paused, not ended. According to Kemp, a second season was always part of the plan.

“We didn’t pitch this concept without an idea of what we would do in Season 2. It’s going to be bigger and more intense, and we’re going to complicate the conflict between these two.”

“We’re going to make sure questions get answered, and even more questions are available for you to answer. Make no mistake, Season 2 is going to be bigger and better,” Tani Morale shared.

Kemp also indicated Nemesis Season 2 will continue to focus on the show’s female characters, such as Ebony Wilder (Cleopatra Coleman) and her half-sister Charlie (Sophina Brown), based on audience response to those characters.

“Their vision, craft, and passion are unmatched, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to continue this journey with them into Season 2.”

Other cast members of Nemesis include Gabrielle Dennis as Stiles’ wife Candice, Ariana Guerra as LAPD Detective Yvette Cruz, Michael Potts as Captain James Sealey, and Domenick Lombardozzi as Detective Dave Cerullo.

The executive producers on Nemesis include Kemp, Morale, Chris Selak, Philipp A. Barnett, and Mario Van Peebles.
