Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 Trailer Sees the Gaang Fighting Against Earth and Fire
Aang is one step closer to mastering his abilities as the Avatar, but he still needs all the help he can get. Fortunately, with Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2, he’s getting that help with the arrival of Toph.
Netflix released the trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2, which premieres on Thursday, June 25. The trailer arrives after much anticipation for the show’s future, which has been set in stone with Season 3, per Netflix’s TUDUM.
Although the teaser trailer only presented a brief look at Toph and the Kyoshi warriors, this new trailer goes all in with the Gaang. They’ll have much to face if they want to stop Fire Lord Ozai and his forces.

The Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 trailer sees Aang, Katara, and Sokka venturing to the Earth Kingdom for Aang to master his earthbending skills. Although the city’s restrictions decrease Aang’s chances of learning, Toph’s arrival gives him that shot.
Unfortunately for the Gaang, the Fire Nation is still hunting the Avatar down, sending Azula deep into enemy territory. Azula hasn’t prepared for her brother, Zuko, whose allegiance to the Fire Nation is continuously tested.
The trailer also features some more characters from the original Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series. Particularly, Wan Shi Tong, the near-omniscient owl spirit that guards the Spirit Library, makes his live-action debut. Jet and his team also return.

There is one standout character that also makes their live-action debut as well: the Blue Spirit. In the original show, it was revealed that Zuko took on the “Blue Spirit” persona to become an antihero. He would rescue Aang to capture him himself for Ozai.
Given how Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 will be adapting the second season of the original series, fans can expect familiar beats. Some of these story beats include the “Secret Tunnel” story and “The Library,” where the Gaang learns about the Fire Nation’s one weakness.
However, given the creative liberties taken, fans may expect some storylines to be omitted or incorporated into other episodic narratives. Still, there is much to be excited about as audiences re-enter this elemental universe in the coming weeks.
