Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 Teaser Trailer Features Toph’s Debut and Kyoshi Warriors
The earth is starting to shake thanks to one of the most iconic characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender finally making her live-action debut.
Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2, per Deadline. This season will adapt the next adventure that Aang and his friends embark on: heading to the Earth Kingdom to find a way to stop the Fire Nation.
Though Season 2 does not have a specific release date, fans can expect it to be released sometime in 2026.

The teaser trailer sees several different things happening, from the Gaang beginning their journey towards the Earth Kingdom to Zuko and his uncle, Iroh, living on the run. In the meantime, Aang is still trying to master all the elemental forces.
The main sequence of the trailer shows Aang, Katara, and Sokka heading into an arena to watch a battle ensue. As the battle begins, a warrior emerges from the darkness: Toph Beifong (Miya Cech), who’s shown using her earthbending abilities.
The teaser also inserts some additional scenes, including Azula’s friends, Mai and Ty Lee, confronting Sokka and Suki in a forest, Azula using her electric abilities, and Aang flying into the jaws of the unagi, the large water eel.

Though the teaser only shows brief moments of Toph, her role will be incredibly important moving forward. Not only will Toph help Aang master his skills in earthbending, but her arc is also expected to follow that of her animated counterpart.
In the Nickelodeon series, Toph was sheltered by her rich, overprotective parents because of her blindness, which was a prominent part of the original arc.
However, Toph rejected her parents’ ideals, ran away from home, and trained to show her capabilities.

With the Gaang, Toph was able to overcome her own hesitancies regarding her approach to earthbending, her arrogance, and her self-isolation from everyone else. Fans can also expect her to start metalbending sooner than later!
As for other arcs in Season 2, fans can also expect Sokka and Suki to begin developing a closer relationship, given what happened on Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 1 Episode 8, “Legends.”
Additionally, per Netflix’s TUDUM, Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 3 is also in development and, like Season 2, will follow the last arc of the original show.
