Sam and Jay pay the price for Trevor’s tax evasion when they’re forced to pay the IRS before they lose everything.
Desperate to make a quick buck, the couple arrange for a high-stakes poker night on Ghosts Season 5 Episode 16, “Woodstone Royale.”
Young Sheldon star Iain Armitage, a self-proclaimed fan of Ghosts, guest-stars as himself. The young actor is looking to take on more serious adult roles and comes to Woodstone hoping to gain experience at the poker game for an upcoming role.
He’s joined by a group of poker players that includes Trevor’s former co-worker Brett.
With desperation to save the businesses setting in, could Sam resort to using the ghosts to cheat at poker and take home the pot for herself? Hopefully, after years of chaos and mild crimes, Sam and Jay have learned their lesson about leaning on the ghosts for help.
Meanwhile, the basement ghosts still mourn the loss of their beloved water heater. Feeling bad for the group, Sas and Pete offer up Jay’s fancy recliner as a gift to keep them occupied.
However, one recliner and a horde of bored basement ghosts suggest this could descend into a Game of Thrones situation if the upstairs ghosts aren’t careful.
Here’s everything you need to know about this episode, including the air date, cast, promo, and how to watch.
Needing to raise a large sum of money to pay the IRS, Sam and Jay agree to host a high-stakes poker game at the mansion. Meanwhile, in an act of generosity, Sass and Pete gift Jay’s recliner to the basement ghosts.

Previously on Ghosts, Trevor was called to the HR department at his job to answer for inappropriate behavior. Jay went on his living behalf as the fictional Michael Jackson and managed to get Trevor out of trouble.
However, he quickly got himself into trouble when the HR representative recognized Jay from Todd’s podcast and fired him. Sam then revealed the B&B can’t survive without Trevor’s income, moments before discovering Jay now owes the IRS for all Trevor’s unpaid taxes.
