Criminal Record Season 2 Trailer Sees Hegarty and Lenker Fighting Far-Right Conspirators
After a tumultuous investigation, detectives Daniel Hegarty and June Lenker are heading back out for another deadly mystery in Criminal Record Season 2.
Apple TV released the trailer for the second season, which will premiere on Wednesday, April 22. The eight-episode season will release a new episode weekly until Wednesday, June 10.
Criminal Record Season 1 saw Hegarty’s past and Lenker’s family collide in ways that broke and reforged bonds. These detectives investigate a nationwide conspiracy that changes everything in the trailer for Season 2.

Hegarty and Lenker are trying to live their day-to-day lives following the shocking conclusion of Criminal Record Season 1 Episode 8 “Carla.” Both of them are still on edge, but their discovery of a far-right conspiracy truly shakes them.
According to the synopsis, Hegarty and Lenker will be “forced into an uneasy alliance” when a young man is stabbed to death at a political rally. This event seems to be the catalyst for the rival detectives’ investigation into what’s really happening in London’s criminal underbelly.
Throughout the trailer, a few clues are laid out for the two detectives, from cryptic audio messages to planned riots. Though they both want to take this growing organization down, Hegarty and Lenker’s philosophies still conflict.
Additionally, Lenker’s family seems to be in the crosshairs of this elusive and deadly group.

Whether or not Lenker will be able to see eye-to-eye with Hegarty remains to be seen. If there’s one thing that Criminal Record Season 2 promises, it’s that no one is safe.
Criminal Record Season 2 sees the return of Peter Capaldi as Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Hegarty and Cush Jumbo as Detective Sergeant June Lenker.
In addition, the returning ensemble of Criminal Record includes Shaun Dooley, Stephen Campbell Moore, and Charlie Creed-Miles. Dustin Demri-Burns, Luca Pasqualino, Luther Ford, Lyndsey Marshal, and Peter Sullivan join the ensemble.
Criminal Record is produced for Apple TV by Tod Productions and STV Studios, and executive produced by BAFTA Scotland Award winner Elaine Collins, Chris Sussman, Rutman, Capaldi, and Jumbo. The series is directed by Ben A. Williams and Joelle Mae David.
