Being understaffed is nothing new for this school, and Janine approaches Ava about hiring additional staff when her classroom develops a need for a teacher’s aide.
Meanwhile, the newest Abbott staff member, Dominic, is settling into his position within this tight-knit group well. A little too well, it seems, when he confides in Jacob to help him with something — perhaps involving Barbara?

What Happened on the Previous Episode?
Previously on Abbott Elementary, Janine and Gregory take a big step in their relationship by deciding to move in together. However, with Janine’s apartment reeking of her ex-boyfriend, Gregory convinces her to move into the more spacious apartment above hers, so that they can start fresh together. Meanwhile, Melissa and Barbara learn a lesson when they meddle in one of the students’ love lives, and O’Shon confronts Ava when she accepts several gifts from other romantic suitors on Valentine’s Day.
