A familiar face from the district shows up to implement the “No Phones Day” initiative, where all participants lock up their devices for the school day to foster better connections with each other.
The students are quick to protest the idea but find a way to occupy their time productively.
The staff, however, struggles with their screen-free day to varying degrees of distress.
They should take a page out of Mr. Johnson’s book and utilize the school library’s collection. Something tells us they won’t quite make it that easy on themselves.

What Happened on the Previous Episode?
Previously on Abbott Elementary, Barbara feels bad for the older students who can’t participate in Trick or Treating on Halloween. So she arranges for them to go on a school-wide camping trip overnight to keep the children out of trouble.
However, the other teachers, already run ragged by the semester, are determined to sabotage the evening so they can go home. Instead, Barbara manages to salvage the night and bring everyone together around the campfire.
