What to Expect from Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Previews

The Mosterverse is back on Apple TV+ with Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2, and viewers are in for an even bigger adventure.

It has been over 2 years since the Season 1 finale. A lot went down in Season 1 that will be important for Season 2. So, before we jump into what we can expect from Season 2, let’s backtrack a bit for a refresher on Season 1.

In Season 1, we met Kentaro and Cate, half-siblings who had no idea the other existed until their father’s disappearance revealed that he was living a double life.

As the pair investigates what happened to their father, they meet Lee Shaw, a retired Army officer who worked with their grandparents in a secret organization known as Monarch.

The trio, along with Kentaro’s ex and Cate’s potential new love interest, May, set off on an adventure to uncover Monarch’s secrets and the organization’s connection to their father’s disappearance.

The season ends with the group descending into the Axis Mundi, a rift world between Earth and the Hollow Earth revealed earlier in the season. There, they discover that Keiko, one of the founders of Monarch, and Kentaro and Cate’s grandmother, has been stranded there for decades.

Not only that, but she hasn’t aged more than a few months because time moves differently in the rift. When the group (minus Lee, but plus Keiko) emerges from the rift, it is two years later, and the world is very different from how they left it.

Season 2 will pick up where all that left off, with the world hanging in the balance as a new, even more dangerous titan, Titan X, threatens humanity.

As with Season 1, secrets from the past will continue to have consequences for the future, testing relationships and making it difficult to distinguish friend from foe.

Here’s everything you need to know about this season, including the air date, cast, promo, and how to watch.
