When Does Grey’s Anatomy Return From Hiatus?
Grey’s Anatomy aired its fall finale in November, and luckily, fans won’t have to wait much longer for new episodes. Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 will return on Thursday, January 8th at 10/9c.
The Grey’s Anatomy fall finale ended with more than one cliffhanger. Jo’s life was hanging in the balance, her heart failing, as Winston began to perform an emergency C-section.

Meanwhile, after a bit of odd behavior, Richard revealed to Bailey that he’s been diagnosed with cancer.
Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 Episode 7, “Skyfall,” looks like it will pick up where we left off, with Jo on the operating table and Winston working to save her and the baby. Jo’s fate really is unknown, and this looks like it will be an incredibly emotional episode.
The Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 midseason premiere will follow the return of 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville. This season consists of 18 episodes, which means there are only 12 episodes left.

It’s also worth noting that Ellen Pompeo has been contracted to appear in seven episodes of Season 22 total, which means we’ll be seeing Meredith Grey a few more times this season.
Additionally, Caterina Scorsone, who plays Amelia Shepherd, is currently on a hiatus from the show, but she is said to return later in the season.
