JD welcomes Mackey to the scene of the crime — Chief Petty Officer Nathaniel “Nate” Holbrook was shot dead after being accused of murder himself.

As it turns out, Evie and DeShawn seem to be big fans of the Marsh Family Murders podcast, hosted by Lucinda Wainwright, about the death of Zoe Marsh. In the podcast episodes, Nate becomes a main suspect as he dated Zoe.
Evie and DeShawn also share that the US Navy was accused of covering up Nate’s alleged crimes. While he was charged and never prosecuted in Australia, the charges disappeared upon Nate’s return to the United States.
So, to get to the truth, JD and Mackey may have to confront Lucinda’s listeners directly by being a guest on the podcast. By doing so, they may uncover if an internet vigilante murdered Nate to avenge Zoe.
