What to Expect from NCIS: Sydney Season 3 Episode 7: Gold Digger

The team works to uncover the truth in a case involving a treasure map on NCIS: Sydney Season 3 Episode 7, “Gold Digger.”

This investigation starts when a U.S. naval officer is arrested for murder while trying to destroy said map. One of the clips from the episode shows JD questioning that man, whose name is Joel. He’s covered in blood, but won’t tell JD whose blood. He’s also not budging about the contents of the document.

Bluebird — or, Cluebird — is on it! She recovers what’s lost to reveal a treasure map that, presumably, is tied to the fabled “Yamashita’s Gold.” 

As it turns out, the team isn’t the only one with an interest in the map. Evie discovers that Vinnie Reeves, the host of the travel adventure series Fortune Tracker, bid on the map. She is eager to interview the TV personality, while DeShawn is…less so. 

The “Gold Digger” description reveals that the team will also have to deal with jurisdictional politics. That element seems to be at play in the first clip below. Mackey backs up JD’s skills as the “human polygraph,” and then the duo non-verbally communicates to hold Joel. That’s their partnership at work!

But how this all ends and where Trigger and JD’s waterguns come into the mix, well, that’s to be seen when NCIS: Sydney returns from its brief hiatus on Tuesday, December 2, on CBS.
