The time has come for Jay to be once again left alone with the ghosts.
The greatest threat facing Woodstone is a Sam-Free day, and Ghosts Season 5 Episode 6, “Planes, Shanes, and Automobiles,” adds a new layer of chaos when Jay refuses to do the spirits’ bidding.
Busy with cooking an extravagant dinner for their first Thanksgiving at Woodstone, Jay’s threat to leave the ghosts to their own devices sends them running to the only other sucker they can find — Ben Feldman’s Kyle.
Desperate to rekindle a friendship with Sam and Jay, fellow ghost-seer Kyle comes running when he is asked to ghost-sit.
As Jay deals with the unexpected arrival of the guy who tried to make a move on his wife, Sam and Pete become stranded at the airport after a stop on her book tour.
Unfortunately for Sam, she’s not only going to miss her first Thanksgiving at Woodstone, but she has to travel with a rather chatty companion. Will Sam and Pete make it home in time for dinner? Or will Sam find a way to kill Pete twice?

Ghosts Season 5 Episode 6 Description
Unsatisfied with Jay’s ability to tend to their needs while Sam is away, the ghosts bring in a better babysitter, Kyle. Meanwhile, Sam and Pete get on each other’s nerves during a book tour road trip, and things reach a breaking point when an airline strike threatens their ability to get home in time for Thanksgiving.

What Happened on the Previous Episode?
Previously on Ghosts, Trevor began a new chapter of fatherhood with his daughter, Abby, who now knows he is a ghost haunting Woodstone. However, when she tells her dad she plans to study poetry in Paris, he attempts to sabotage Abby’s dreams and learns a valuable lesson about letting those who still can live life to the fullest.
Meanwhile, Trevor’s purchase of a Porsche sends Sam down an obsessive rabbit hole with the car. Her use of the lavish car causes Jay to face his first worker strike, to Hetty’s great horror.
