Invincible Renewed Early for Season 5 at Prime Video
Invincible isn’t holding its punches as it continues its success with Season 5’s confirmation!
Prime Video announced that it has renewed Invincible for a fifth season ahead of Season 4’s release in 2026. Additionally, Matthew Rhys will be joining the ensemble voice cast, but his role currently remains a mystery.
Invincible Season 3 proved to be a massive success for Prime Video as it became the streaming platform’s most-watched season (in animation) of all time. The third season was recently nominated for the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Animated Series, as well as several Primetime Emmy nominations.

Given that Season 3 focused on the introduction of Grayson family newcomer, Oliver Grayson, Invincible Seasons 4 and 5 might look to cover the events that come after Invincible #66.
That comics issue not only teased the return of the new series antagonist, Angstrom Levy, but also new Viltrumite issues that Omni-Man has to overcome.
All of this was previously teased at the end of Invincible Season 3 Episode 8, “I Thought You’d Never Shut Up,” where Mark finally had his confrontation with Conquest.
Past that issue, Mark also had to deal with the return of the Sequids, which were also teased in Season 3 to have arrived on Earth, as well as trying to care for Oliver, who has become much older thanks to his faster growth spurts.

All of these events lead to the eventual “Viltrumite War” storyline from the comics, where Mark finally accepts that he has to team up with his dad and fight the remaining living Viltrumites.
This also sees Mark returning to his iconic yellow-blue-and-black costume that was originally featured.
While Invincible Season 4’s story may be easily made clear, the fifth season’s confirmation could incorporate different storylines post-“Viltrumite War.”
As of now, fans can expect Mark Grayson to continue his mission in ridding the universe of Angstrom Levy’s madness.

Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, and J.K. Simmons are set to return for Invincible‘s upcoming seasons.
Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Zachary Quinto, Chris Diamantopoulos, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ben Schwartz, Clancy Brown, Jay Pharoah, Mark Hamill, and Melise Jow will be returning for Seasons 4 and 5.
Invincible is produced by Skybound Entertainment’s animation studio, Skybound Animation.
The executive producers are Kirkman, Rogen, David Alpert, Catherine Winder, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, and Evan Goldberg. The co-executive producers are Helen Leigh and Cory Walker.
