Has Elsbeth Been Renewed for a Third Season?

Though several series have been canceled at CBS, fans can rest assured that Elsbeth, starring Carrie Preston, will be back for a new season. The news that Elsbeth had been renewed for Season 3 was announced earlier this year, along with renewals for the drama series Tracker, Fire Country, and NCIS, among others. 

It’s good news, too, considering how Elsbeth Season 2 left off. While the finale offered some closure, including Elsbeth stating “this is where I’m needed” during Kaya’s going-away party, it’s clear there’s plenty more story to tell.

Sadly, we’ll see less of Kaya, who was heading out at the end of the season to join a task force in Washington, D.C.

Elsbeth will once again air Thursdays on CBS. In addition to Elsbeth, Tracker, Fire Country, and NCIS, other CBS dramas that have been renewed include Matlock, NCIS: Origins, NCIS: Sydney, and Watson.
