Animal Control and Going Dutch Renewed at FOX
Animal Control and Going Dutch are returning for more in FOX’s comedy line-up.
The network renewed both series — the former for its fourth season and the latter for its sophomore season — today. Animal Control and Going Dutch‘s upcoming seasons will be a part of FOX’s 2025/2026 programming season.
“Animal Control and Going Dutch are proven winners thanks to signature FOX characters brought to life by Joel and Denis — two of the funniest comedic voices on TV today, giving us an ideal foundation for building our new comedy block,” Fox president Michael Thorn said in a statement, per TV Line.

“With a focus on creating irreverent, fun workplace humor that’s both outrageous and unpredictable, Joel, Denis, their castmates, and production teams deliver reliably laugh-out-loud moments week-after-week that will keep fans coming back season-after-season,” Thorn added.
Deadline reports that Animal Control‘s renewal is no surprise given that it “remains Fox’s live-action comedy flagship and was the network’s first fully owned live-action series to break out.” The outlet reports that Going Dutch‘s renewal was more up in the air, having lost linear viewers across its season.
The freshman series stars Denis Leary as the “arrogant, loudmouth” U.S. Army Colonel Patrick Quinn, who finds himself in the Netherlands after causing a scene.
There, he must lead “the least strategically-significant army base in the world, notable for its Michelin Star-commissary, top-notch bowling alley, lavender-infused laundry and the best (and only) fromagerie in the U.S. Armed Forces,” per its logline.

His mission “to reinstate discipline and professionalism” becomes all the more complicated because he has to work with the base’s interim leader, who happens to be his estranged daughter, Captain Maggie Quinn.
Taylor Misiak plays Maggie. Going Dutch also stars Danny Pudi, Laci Mosely, and Hal Cumpston. Joe Morton, Catherine Tate, and Dempsey Bryk frequently appear in recurring roles.
Its 10-episode debut season premiered alongside Animal Control Season 3 Episode 1, “Giraffes, Gorillas, and Penguins,” and wrapped up with Going Dutch Season 1 Episode 10, “Born on the Third Day in July,” in March.
Produced by FOX Entertainment Studios. Joel Church-Cooper serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer on Going Dutch. Denis Leary and Jack Leary also serve as executive producers. FOX Entertainment Global distributes.

Meanwhile, Joel McHale leads Animal Control, created by Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg, and Dan Sterling, with Tad Quill serving as showrunner. The series concluded its third season with Animal Control Season 3 Episode 10, “Strays and Lovebirds,” in March.
The comedy “follows a group of local Animal Control workers whose lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not,” per its logline.
Alongside McHale, Animal Control stars Michael Rowland as Fred “Shred” Taylor, Vella Lovell as Emily, Ravi Patel as Patel, and Grace Palmer as Victoria. The third season’s recurring stars include Gerry Dee, Krystal Smith, Sarah Chalke, Thomas Lennon, Chelsea Frei, Lucy Punch, and Josh Segarra.
Animal Control Season 3’s guest stars include Eve Palmer (Grace Palmer’s sister), Rob Gronkowski as himself, and Ken Jeong’s return as dog trainer, Roman Park.
Produced by FOX Entertainment Studios, Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg, Dan Sterling, Tad Quill, Jake Fuller, and Joel McHale executive produce the series. FOX Entertainment Global distributes.
