School Spirits Renewed for Season 3 at Paramount+
School Spirits is coming back for another season!
Paramount+ has renewed its hit original drama series for a third season set to premiere in 2026. The paranormal teen drama wrapped up its eight-episode sophomore season with School Spirits Season 2 Episode 8, “Fire, Talk to Me,” on Thursday, March 6. The season finale was full of cliffhangers.
Did Wally cross over? What will Maddie do now that she’s back in her body? Will Simon make it out of Mr. Martin’s scar? This renewal is welcome news to School Spirits fans who want to see what’s next for the Split River High students.

The show’s renewal also comes after School Spirits Season 2’s three-episode premiere pulling “an average audience of 3.9 million in its first 28 days, marking a double-digit increase of +94% from the Season 1 premiere,” per Paramount+.
After that three-episode premiere, Deadline reported that Paramount Globals’ internal data shows that School Spirits had a “104% increase over the seven-day audience for the first three episodes of Season 1.”
The series debuted with a three-episode premiere in 2023. It follows Peyton List as Maddie Nears as she navigates a high-school purgatory and a web of secrets to investigate her mysterious disappearance. The second season finds Maddie uniting her friends across the spectral and living worlds to reclaim her stolen life.
School Spirits Season 2 also stars Kristian Ventura as Simon Elroy, Spencer MacPherson as Xavier Baxter, Kiara Pichardo as Nicole Herrera, Sarah Yarkin as Rhonda, Nick Pugliese as Charley, Rainbow Wedell as Claire Zomer, Josh Zuckerman as Mr. Martin and Milo Manheim as Wally Clark.

“We are so thrilled to bring School Spirits back to our devoted audiences for another season of masterful storytelling brought to life by Peyton List and the incredible cast,” Shauna Phelan, Head of Live Action Scripted Series and Film for Awesomeness and Nickelodeon, said.
“Co-showrunners Oliver Goldstick, Nate Trinrud, and Megan Trinrud have an exceptional ability to capture the complexity and nuance of the teen experience, while also keeping audiences on their toes with the unexpected mystery, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the students of Split River High next season,” Phelan added.
Co-showrunners and executive producers Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud created School Spirits. Oliver Goldstick also serves as co-showrunner and executive producer.
Peyton List is a producer on the series. Shauna Phelan, Head of Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action, with Awesomeness Studios’ Executives Brin Lukens and Austin Bedell, oversee the production of School Spirits. Awesomeness TV produces, and Paramount Global Content Distribution distributes.
