The Pitt Season 1 Episode 7 Review: 1:00 p.m.
The doctors of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital ER are a little over halfway through their shift on The Pitt Season 1 Episode 7, “1:00 p.m.,” and it is surprisingly quiet.
Due to the nature of the emergency room, there has not been a moment to breathe, but no ambulances carrying emerging cases make an appearance during this particular hour.
It is also strange not to see all the characters we have become familiar with running around. Perhaps they know that 1:00 p.m. is a quiet hour in the Pitt and decide to hide out in the break room.

This oddity is hardly a flaw. Instead, it allows for some of the characters to have their moment to shine — most notably Dr. King and Dr. Mohan.
Other than the interns and med students, Dr. King and Dr. Mohan are the ones with the “least experience” at Pitt and the ones who have been subject to criticism. This episode allows them to showcase why they’re good doctors, no matter what Dr. Robby or anyone else says, to try to diminish their skills.
Dr. Mohan, specifically, has forced herself into a shell. She is losing confidence despite patients always being happy and satisfied with her care. Dr. Collins advocating for her and standing up against Dr. Robby is what’s needed because despite his also being a physician with years of experience, he seems to forget that he was once in Dr. Mohan’s position.
As Dr. Robby and others say, she shows the most promise out of the staff. It is about time someone stood up for her.
She is able to solve the mystery case by going against orders, but she saves a life, which is what she is there to do after all.

Despite being the epitome of a model doctor since the beginning, Dr. Robby is starting to cross lines, and the heaviness of the day is affecting him.
He is snapping at staff but not at patients yet. It’s only a matter of time before he shows that he’s not the “perfect” doctor he paints himself to be.
On The Pitt Season 1 Episode 1, “7:00 a.m.,” we learn that Dr. Collins is pregnant. Analyzing her interactions with Dr. Robby and revealing that they have a past together reveals that he’s a candidate for the father. Her possibly losing the baby might be the breaking point for Dr. Robby if the rumors turn out to be true.
It’s heartbreaking that she is possibly going through a miscarriage since she is excited about the baby and planning on using the bet money she won over the stolen ambulance to buy a fancy stroller.
The question will remain as to how everyone will receive the news except Dana, who is the only one who knows.

Dr. Santos keeps getting put in situations that test her massive ego.
As far as character development goes, she is the one who is growing the most. Most notably, she didn’t make fun of any of her coworkers or diminish their skills. Still, with her, things may change rapidly and take three steps back.
Seven hours into the shift, a question is starting to arise: Does anyone ever leave the Pitt? Many of the doctors and nurses are already working when Robby arrives to start his shift, and no one is off the clock yet. Is this hospital a version of purgatory?
What’s interesting is that even when patients are taken for CT scans or other exams, audiences don’t get to see that process or that side of the hospital; we always stay in the Pitt. There’s no escape or an outside world to be considered.
