Preview — The Rookie Season 7 Episode 3: Lucy and Tim’s Rookie Bet Takes a Turn

Chenford’s bet on their rookies takes an interesting twist on The Rookie Season 7 Episode 3, “Out of Pocket.”

The promo video teases that Grey becomes aware of their arrangement, and Tim insists they never put any money on it. However, The Rookie‘s history proves that money doesn’t need to be a factor for Lucy and Tim to take a bet seriously. 

But it seems like Sergeant Gery is throwing a wrench in their plans. After all, it wouldn’t be shocking if he’s the one who wants to shake up their progress by swapping rookies. Given the personal and professional progress Tim has made with Miles and Lucy with Seth, “Out of Pocket” should be entertaining.

It’s definitely going to be intense for Nolan, who is “spinning out about Jason,” per Celina in the promo video. Understandably, John is worried about making everything, including their home, as safe as possible before Bailey returns to LA.

Although, that may be more challenging with Jason Wyler still missing. Perhaps whoever the familiar face is that returns to the Mid-Wilshire Patrol Division may be able to offer some help in that department. The promotional content for “Out of Pocket” doesn’t give any hints as to who that guest star may be.

The Rookie‘s photos do reveal a double date dinner at Wopez’s house. Maybe that’s exactly what Wesley needs to feel settled over Detective Graham’s crush on Angela. It’s also possible that it could help smooth out the conflict brewing between Nyla and James. Hopefully, everything will be revealed on Tuesday.
