Daredevil: Born Again Trailer Teases Kingpin’s Uprising, Punisher’s Return, and New Antiheroes

Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk are finally facing off again on Daredevil: Born Again later this year!

The highly-anticipated trailer for Daredevil: Born Again, the continuation of Netflix’s Daredevil series, presents the return of many fan favorites. The series premieres on Tuesday, March 4, at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on Disney+.

Previously, the trailer was showcased to attendees at New York Comic Con 2024, with surprise appearances from Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio.

Daredevil: Born Again will see Matt Murdock suiting up as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen once again while Kingpin continues establishing his political presence. “When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course,” per the show’s logline.

The trailer shows Murdock and Fisk meeting at a diner, presumably for the first time since the events of Daredevil took place. Since then, Fisk has become mayor of New York. As the two subtly threaten to stop each other by any means necessary, the trailer teases some new and returning characters.

As previously reported, one of which is Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, aka Bullseye.

On Daredevil Season 3, Poindexter was imprisoned for attacking Kingpin, who previously manipulated him. Given what the trailer teases, it’s most likely Poindexter will find a way to escape his imprisonment.

Another new character debuting on Daredevil: Born Again appears to be Hector Ayala, the White Tiger. In the comics, the White Tiger is a mantle of a superhero empowered by three mystical amulets. The most popular character currently wearing the mantle in the comics is Hector’s sister, Ava Ayala.

The trailer delivers a brief look at the White Tiger’s official suit as well as his more “civilian” look. It could be assumed that Hector might have it out for Murdock or Fisk. But who knows?

Additionally, Frank Castle, aka Punisher, is also set to make his return. Murdock tries approaching Castle to make some sort of plea with him. As rugged and unpredictable as ever, Castle might accept what Murdock has to offer, given the events that occurred on Daredevil Season 3.

Daredevil: Born Again will also star Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, with Ayelet Zurer and Jon Bernthal.

Daredevil: Born Again‘s episodes will be directed by Loki‘s Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd.

The show’s executive producers include Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Gary, Dario Scardapane, Matt Corman & Chris Ord, and Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead.
