Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med to Crossover for the First Time in 5 Years
A One Chicago crossover event is happening for the first time in 5 years.
TV Line exclusively reports that Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med will stage a one-night, three-show crossover later this season on NBC.
While the network declined to comment, the outlet’s sources share that “the storyline centers on a massive explosion in an office building that upends the entire city (above and below ground).”

Meanwhile, Deadline reports that “there are multiple storylines in play, but no one has settled on details regarding what idea they will go with.”
The last time the three shows crossed over was on Chicago Fire Season 8 Episode 4, “Infection Part 1,” Chicago Med Season 5, Episode 4, “Infection Part 2,” and Chicago P.D. Season 7 Episode 4, “Infection Part 3,” in 2019.
The TV event focused on a bacteria outbreak in Chicago, sending the first responders into action.
Of course, smaller crossovers have happened across the Dick Wolf-produced shows since, but not with a story threading all three series together.
