Arcane Season 2 Trailer Brings Zaun’s War Topside and Jinx’s Rebellious Awakening

The fires between sisters Jinx and Vi have never been more intense — until now.

Netflix has released the official trailer for Arcane Season 2 on X, along with new images from this season. While there is no specific release date, the season is expected to be released this November.

Arcane Season 1 Episode 9, “The Monster You Created,” kickstarted the civil war between the two cities, Piltover and Zaun. Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Caitlyn (Katie Leung) failed to stop Jinx (Ella Purnell) from launching her death rocket, leaving a cliffhanger as it approached the Piltover Council’s chambers.

Arcane‘s Season 2 trailer heavily confirms Jinx’s maniacal turn with Vi’s speech and Caitlyn’s rage because of her mother’s demise.

Vi and Caitlyn have grown extremely close with each other to the point where they’re now leading their own police division. However, Piltover has gone into martial law thanks to Mel’s dictatorial mother, Ambessa.

Down in the pits of Zaun, Sevika decides to let Jinx have the reigns of their underground forces. Because of her actions and sympathy for the innocent, the people are beginning to look up to her. However, her chaotic approach only drives her relationship with Vi further apart.

In between all the action, the trailer also revealed some intriguing teases for other characters, such as Ekko, Jayce, and Singed.

From Arcane Season 2’s trailer, Jayce (Kevin Alejandro) is still experimenting with the Hextech Gemstone, which seemed to corrupt Viktor (Harry Lloyd) in Season 1. However, it looks like the Gemstone is taking its sentience, causing more problems for Jayce, who’s also working with Caitlyn.

The trailer also showcases Singed (Brett Tucker), who has been developing the wolfman Warwick as his personal weapon. While Warwick’s true identity currently remains a mystery, many have speculated that he could be Vander (J.B. Blanc), Jinx, and Vi’s stepfather.

This theory might have been proven in Arcane Season 1 Episode 9, “The Monster You Created,” where Singed brought Vander’s body back to his lab.

Aside from Jayce and Singed, Ekko (Reed Shannon) also joins Vi’s cause with Heimerdinger (Mick Wingert), though he still has some emotion for Jinx. Along with Jayce, their inventions prove helpful to Vi, as seen near the end of the trailer.
