
Stars Wendell Pierce, Lynda Carter, and Sheryl Lee Ralph Endorse Kamala Harris For 2024 Presidential Run
Major celebs are rushing to endorse Kamala Harris for the 2024 United States Presidential Election!
On Sunday, July 21, the current vice president announced that she is running for president after Joe Biden withdrew his candidacy and endorsed her for the position.
Harris wrote in a statement shared on social media, “On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country. I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination.”

As of now, Harris is the presumptive Democratic nominee given that the party will formally nominate its candidate at the Democratic National Convention next month.
Stars like Wendell Pierce, Lynda Carter, and more were among the first to voice their support of Harris.
Pierce, best known for his role in Suits, shared a photo of himself standing beside Harris with the caption, “Tonight, I’m joining millions of Americans, by following President Biden’s lead, and fully support and endorse the nomination of Vice President Kamala Harris as our nominee for President of the United States.”

Wonder Woman star Carter also recognized Biden’s tenure before offering her support for the presidential canidate. “Thank you for your service, President @JoeBiden. “You have done so much for the American people,” she wrote, noting her disapproval of Donald Trump’s 2016 presidency. “@KamalaHarris for President this November!”
Abbott Elementary star Sheryl Lee Ralph shared a set of posts about Harris, including an image with herself and the current vice president with the caption, “President Biden has endorsed Kamala Harris!”
She later wrote, “To anyone who was ever raised by a strong Black woman, you know that we’re all going be more than ok because everything is going to be alright!”

If Harris wins the presidency, she will be the first woman, Black woman, and person of South Asian descent to be the United States President, according to AP News.
Star Trek actor George Takei weighed in, writing, “I want to honor our President @JoeBiden. He has served our nation admirably for decades, he is a decent honorable man, a hugely successful president, and a patriot. Now let us unite behind @KamalaHarris and defeat Donald Trump in November!”
Jamie Lee Curtis, who was recently nominated for an Emmy Award for her guest cameo in The Bear, shared two Instagram posts about Harris. She first recognized her as “a fierce advocate for women’s rights and people of color,” before writing in a second post, “LFG.”
