Preview — 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 8: Bobby Needs to Make Amends
Bobby knows he needs to make amends after encountering Amir on 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 8, “Step Nine.”
The promo video reveals a lot about the episode — and it ends on a dangerous cliffhanger. “Step Nine” will reveal that Amir, a nurse in a hospital’s burn unit, is a survivor of the apartment fire that changed Bobby’s life ten years ago.
The procedural drama showed the tragic events on 9-1-1 Season 2 Episode 16, “Bobby Begins Again,” in 2019. Meanwhile, Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s Amir and Bobby only briefly speak for the first time on-screen during 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 7, “Ghost of a Second Chance.”

On “Step Nine,” it appears that Amir will share his story. The promo video sees him say, “Ten years ago, an apartment fire almost took my life. I’m constantly reminded of what I lost.” A photo, which Athena presumably finds, shows Amir with a loved who likely died in the tragedy.
“Just when you think you have everything under control, the anger rages up until it consumes you like a fire,” Amir continues with Bobby in the room. Bobby takes this message as Amir wanting him “to see what I’ve done,” and Bobby knows what he must do next — make amends.
Meanwhile, it seems like the Grant-Nash family will have a family dinner, and Bobby will help out with an organization called (according to their shirts) The Safe Project. Plus, this 9-1-1 episode will follow Bobby as he dives into his childhood memories and discovers more about his past.
