9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 14 Preview: D.I.Y.
Buck and May try to handle some life changes on their own, while Sue has a medical emergency on 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 14, “D.I.Y.”
The episode’s promo video focuses entirely on the latter, with a hint at one of the calls the 118 will be responding to this week. It starts there with Maddie answering a call where a woman says, “I think our house is trying to kill us.” There’s then a montage of how their D.I.Y projects take dangerous turns.
Then, Maddie seems to notice some changes in Sue before she collapses. Maddie calls for back-up as she notices Sue having muscle weakness — a sign of a stroke. Hopefully, Sue makes it out of this medical event and has a healthy recovery.
It’s also hard to imagine the Dispatch Center without her. Debra Christofferson has been on 9-1-1 since Season 1.
Speaking of dispatch, remember May’s plans before she took a gap year from USC and worked there? Well, it seems like “D.I.Y” is circling back to May’s pre-law intentions as she tries to secure her first law internship. She’s trying to do so without Athena’s help, but he 9-1-1 photos tease that Athena may find out.
Elsewhere, Buck is grappling with the trauma after 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 13, “Mother’s Boy.” There isn’t much to glean about this storyline from the photos, other than the very notable fact that Eddie is by Buck’s side in them.
Since Eddie is the only other person who can relatively relate, it’s good that he’s sticking by Buck. Neither of them should be shouldering all of that on their own.
