Preview — Wild Cards Season 1 Episode 8: Eternal Sunshine of the Therapized Mind
Ellis and Max are going to couples therapy on Wild Cards Season 1 Episode 8, “Eternal Sunshine of the Therapized Mind.”
With three episodes left this season, Yates sums it up in the promo video that Ellimax’s “honeymoon phase is officially over.”
Although they’ve been mostly successful in their partnership until now, they were bound to hit a(nother) bump in the road. As Max puts it, that fracture is because Ellis never listens to her, but Ellis thinks Max never thinks things through.
Even a casual Wild Cards fan will know there is truth to both their arguments.
So, it’s safe to believe Simmons, too, when he says that Ellis and Max have been spending too much time together. “Eternal Sunshine of the Therapized Mind” will hopefully get to the bottom of their disconnect when Chief Li sends the duo undercover — as a married couple — to a wellness retreat.
While uncovering who murdered a therapist, Ellis and Max may also heal their partnership in time for the penultimate episode. Either way, “Eternal Sunshine of the Therapized Mind” is bound to have fun with the fake marriage trope.
