A First Look at the ‘NCIS’ Franchise’s 1000th Episode
The NCIS franchise is hitting a massive milestone on CBS in April.
The mothership series will welcome stars from NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: Hawai’i to celebrate the NCISverse’s 1,000th episode on Monday, April 15, at 9/8c.
The team faces an adversary from their past on the landmark NCIS episode.
“A Thousand Yards” description: NCIS comes under attack by a mysterious enemy from the past. Also, Vance tries to mend fences with his estranged son by explaining why, despite the ongoing dangers of his job, he still chooses to stay at NCIS.

Plus, as TV Line exclusively reported, Spence Moore II joins the series as Director Vance’s son, Jared. TV Line was also the first to report that NCIS: LA‘s Daniela Ruah and NCIS: Hawai’i‘s Vanessa Lachey would make a special appearance on the 1,000th episode.
As with NCIS: LA‘s series finale, an Entertainment Tonight one-hour special hosted by Kevin Frazier will celebrate the milestone on Monday, April 8 at 9/8c on the CBS Television Network. “NCISVERSE: THE FIRST 1,000” will take an exclusive look inside the world’s #1 TV franchise.
“NCISVERSE: THE FIRST 1,000” will include exclusive interviews with the stars of NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Hawai’i, and NCIS: Sydney. The latter was recently renewed for a sophomore season, while the NCISverse has two spinoff series coming to CBS and Paramount+, respectively.
NCIS: Origins, following a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs and narrated by Mark Harmon, will air on CBS. An unnamed spinoff series on which Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly will reprise their roles as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo will stream on Paramount+.
The “NCISVERSE: THE FIRST 1,000” special will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming episode. According to its synopsis, “The cast and guest stars share favorite memories and behind-the-scenes moments from 20 years’ worth of never-before-seen interviews from the ET vault” during the special.
