Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly to Reprise ‘NCIS’ Roles in Spinoff Series on Paramount+
The NCISverse is expanding with a Tiva spinoff series on Paramount+!
Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly will reprise their NCIS roles as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo in the newest installment in the franchise.
This straight-to-series order comes after the same in January 2024 for NCIS: Origins, which will follow a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs and be narrated by Mark Harmon, who played Gibbs on the mothership series. That series will air on CBS.

This untitled spinoff series will reunite de Pablo and Weatherly as Ziva and Tony on-screen for the first time in 10 years.
Cote de Pablo exited the drama during its eleventh season, and Weatherly exited in its thirteenth. The two characters reunited off-camera after Ziva is revealed to be alive on NCIS Season 16 Episode 24, “Daughters,” in 2019.
Weatherly recently reprised his role on NCIS Season 21 Episode 2, “The Stories We Leave Behind,” — a tribute episode to longtime cast member David McCallum. The actor, who portrayed Dr. Donald ‘Ducky’ Mallard for over 20 years, passed away in September 2023.
Paramount+ has given the next chapter in the NCIS franchise a 10-episode order, and it is slated to begin production later this year.

The show finds Tony and Ziva “raising their daughter, Tali, together. When Tony’s security company is attacked, they must go on the run across Europe, try to figure out who is after them, and maybe even learn to trust each other again so that they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after,” per its synopsis.
“We’ve been talking about this story for many years, and now with John McNamara at the helm, we are ready,” Weatherly and de Pablo said.
“The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears, and laughter. We also want to acknowledge and thank the fans from around the world who supported the ‘TIVA’ movement for years,” the pair added.
“To this day, they say hello in grocery stores and on the street to tell us how much these characters mean to them and ask what Tony and Ziva are up to now. This is for you!” Weatherly and de Pablo concluded.

Showrunner and executive producer John McNamara penned the series premiere.
“I’m incredibly excited to step into the NCIS universe with Cote and Michael and thrilled to explore it from a few new angles,” John McNamara said.
“Given that the franchise is such a global sensation, I think it’s phenomenal that CBS Studios and Paramount+ have given us the greenlight to shoot in Europe. As to the title of this series, if I told you what it is, I’d be violating the Espionage Act,” McNamara added.
The untitled NCIS spinoff series will be produced by CBS Studios and executive produced by de Pablo, Weatherly, Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, and Shelley Meals. Paramount Global Content Distribution will distribute the series.
