Ghosts Season 3 Episode 1, “The Owl,” promises us long-awaited answers from beyond the grave — and owls, of course.
The Season 3 premiere (delayed by the AMPTP’s refusal to negotiate fair contracts) picks up where Season 2 left us last year: with a blinding beam of light and the reveal that one of our dearly departed has off and departed.
“The Owl” promises a swift resolution to the mystery. And yet, as Sam and Jay rush back through the doors of Woodstone, they are met by a silence. Not the lively spirits who typically occupy the foyer.
As the couple search the mansion and take a head count of the remaining spirits, they come to a somber conclusion.
When the dust settles, the ghosts must accept a fellow spirit was sucked off and mourn accordingly. Meanwhile, Sam and Jay pull themselves together to start construction on the barn.
Unfortunately, the plans for Jay’s new destination restaurant are jeopardized when an owl is discovered in the barn’s rafters. What starts as an easy relocation job turns messy when the ghosts get involved against Jay’s wishes.
Woodstone has officially reopened its doors. Even though the ghosts reunite with us under difficult circumstances, it is good to check back into our favorite haunt.
