Bridgerton Season 3 Part 1 Sneak Peek Released by Netflix

Bridgerton fans, the end of the extended hiatus is in sight!

With the first part of the highly-anticipated third season set to premiere in May, Netflix shared a sneak peek on X (formerly Twitter) amid a massive rollout of promotion for several of their upcoming projects.

The clip features Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington — the season’s romantic leads — having a different kind of conversation than the ones viewers are accustomed to over the seasons.

With a healthy dose of comical awkwardness and some intense eye contact, it seems like Penelope is in for some lessons on courtship and flirting courtesy of her long-time crush and the person responsible for her recently broken heart, Colin.

As Netflix’s TUDUM reports, the flirting becomes a little too much for Colin and Penelope, if the intensity in their stares is any indication, just before they are interrupted by a noise off-camera.

Bridgerton Season 3 will be skipping over the third book in Julia Quinn’s series and adapting Romancing Mister Bridgerton, which follows Colin and Penelope’s love story a decade after the events of book three, An Offer From a Gentleman.

In the pages of Quinn’s book, Penelope accepts life as a spinster after Colin’s declaration that he will never marry her. When a casual afternoon visit prompts an unexpected request, Penelope and Colin’s lives take a surprising turn.

Meanwhile, Bridgerton Season 3 will take a slightly different route with the story and its release schedule. Bridgerton Season 3 will be released in two parts on Netflix — Season 3 Part 1 will be released on May 16, 2024, and Season 3 Part 2 is set to be released on June 13, 2024.

Giving up on her crush after the end of Bridgerton Season 2, Penelope has “has, however, decided it’s time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters,” per the synopsis.

“Eager to win back her friendship, Colin offers to mentor Penelope in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband this season. But when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly,” the synopsis continued.

This clip gives viewers only a hint of what’s to come when Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan star as Colin and Penelope, respectively, and bring Polin’s love story to life this season.
