Slow Horses Renewed for Season 5 at Apple TV+
Our time at Slough House isn’t coming to an end anytime soon.
Apple TV+ has renewed Slow Horses for a fifth season not even a week after the premiere of Slow Horses Season 3 Episode 6, “Footprints.”
Season 3 found the Slow Horses tangled up in a rogue agent’s search for answers about the death of his loved one. As they raced to rescue a kidnapped Catherine, our favorite group of misfit agents learned that there were higher stakes at play. Luckily, all of our people made it out of the season alive.
The show was renewed for Season 4 back in 2022; however, Apple TV+ has yet to announce a premiere date. The streamer previously stated that Season 4 will focus on “a bombing that detonates personal secrets, rocking the already unstable foundations of Slough House.”
As if that description isn’t worrying enough, a teaser trailer for Season 4 premiered at the end of “Footprints,” which featured Lamb saying that a member of his team has died.
Safe to say, we’re in for another intense season.
As for Slow Horses Season 5, Apple TV+ has shared that, “everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend, but when a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected. After all, Lamb knows that in the world of espionage, ‘London Rules’ should always apply.”
The series is based on Mick Herron’s series of spy novels. Season 4 will be based on the fourth novel, Spook Street, and Season 5 will follow the events of London Rules.
Slow Horses stars Gary Oldman, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Samuel West, Sophie Okonedo, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan, and Jonathan Pryce.
Will Smith, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Julian Stevens and Graham Yost executive produce the series.
