The Fab Five are heading back to New Orleans on Queer Eye Season 8.

The reality TV show returns on Wednesday, January 4, on Netflix.

The trailer for the upcoming season comes on the heels of Queer Eye winning Outstanding Structured Reality Program at the 2023 Creative Arts Emmys.

Queer Eye shared the two-minute trailer on its X (formerly Twitter) account, writing, “The Fab Five return to New Orleans to jazz up the lives of their heroes!”

Jonathan Van Ness, Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Antoni Porowski, and Tan France meet six new heroes in the new footage, including a Kiss superfan, a former nun, and the football coach for the Louisiana School for the Deaf.

Van Ness sets the tone for Queer Eye Season 8 by saying, “Yes, healing journey! We’re upon you.”

Similar to its past seasons, the trailer features heart-to-heart conversations, like Brown asking a man who is outside of the tremendous care he gives his brother and Berk encouraging a hero to make time for themself.

As announced in November 2023, Season 8 will be Bobby Berk’s final season on Queer Eye. The superstar who transforms spaces overnight will bid the reality TV show farewell after the upcoming outing.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that season 8 will be my final season on Queer Eye. It’s not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one. Although my journey with Queer Eye is over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon,” Berk wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post.

“I love you all so so much and I’ll meet you all in Nola for one final season,” Berk concluded.

Queer Eye‘s official Instagram account responded with an equally sentimental post. “After six incredible years of life-changing transformations, Season 8 will be Bobby Berk’s last with the Fab Five,” the caption read.

“We appreciate the heart and dedication he has brought to Queer Eye and wish him the very best,” it concluded.

Even though this season will be Berk’s final one with the group, Netflix’s TUDUM confirms that the award-winning reality TV show has already been renewed for Season 9.

Queer Eye‘s ninth season will move to Las Vegas to meet a new group of heroes.
