Constellation Trailer Released by Apple TV+
Constellation‘s trailer questions the reality of an astronaut after a tragic accident.
Created and written by Peter Harness, the conspiracy-based space adventure stars Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks.
Constellation makes its three-episode debut on Wednesday, February 21, on Apple TV+. New episodes of the eight-episode series will stream weekly until the finale on March 27.
The two-minute trailer shows Rapace as Jo, an astronaut who returns home after a disaster in space “to discover that key pieces of her life seem to be missing,” per the psychological thriller’s description. Her daughter isn’t as she remembers, and the piano in her house isn’t hers.
“Astronauts go through things they don’t understand. That’s when people come unstuck,” Banks’s character Hank says in the new footage. His character is also responsible for a device that went into space and saw something that now doesn’t want to be seen.
Constellation “is an exploration of the dark edges of human psychology, and one woman’s desperate quest to expose the truth about the hidden history of space travel and recover all that she has lost.”
The trailer crescendos with Jo’s desperate plea for help and for someone to understand that what she’s experiencing “isn’t madness.”
Produced by Turbine Studios and Haut et Court TV, Constellation also stars James D’Arcy, Julian Looman, William Catlett, and Barbara Sukowa. The new series introduces Rosie and Davina Coleman as Alice, Jo’s daughter.
The Apple TV+ drama was shot principally in Germany.
Emmy Award-winner Michelle MacLaren (the first two episodes), Oscar nominee Oliver Hirschbiegel, and Oscar nominee Joseph Cedar directed Constellation. Harness executive produces through Haunted Barn Ltd.
David Tanner, Tracey Scoffield, Caroline Benjo, Simon Arnal, Carole Scotta, and Justin Thomson executive produce the series. MacLaren executive produces with Rebecca Hobbs and co-executive producer Jahan Lopes for MacLaren Entertainment. Daniel Hetzer is the series producer for Turbine Studios, Germany.
