Constellation Sets Premiere Date on Apple TV+
Constellation, an action-packed psychological thriller, is coming to Apple TV+ in the new year.
The upcoming eight-part series stars Noomi Rapace (Django) and Emmy Award nominee Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul).
Created by Peter Harness (Doctor Who) and directed by Emmy Award winner Michelle MacLaren (The Morning Show), Oscar nominee Oliver Hirschbiegel, and Oscar nominee Joseph Cedar, Constellation will debut on February 21, 2024, on Apple TV+.
The conspiracy-based space adventure will debut with a three-episode premiere on Wednesday, February 21. One episode will stream weekly through the finale on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Apple TV+ announced Constellation’s premiere date by unveiling two first-look images of Rapace and Banks. The former stars “as Jo — an astronaut who returns to Earth after a disaster in space — only to discover that key pieces of her life seem to be missing,” per the show’s synopsis.
The photo of Rapace presumably is a sneak peek of that defining experience.
Constellation explores “the dark edges of human psychology, and one woman’s desperate quest to expose the truth about the hidden history of space travel and recover all that she has lost,” per its synopsis.
Alongside Rapace and Banks, the show also stars James D’Arcy (Agent Carter), Julian Looman (Emily in Paris), William Catlett (Black Lightning), and Barbara Sukowa (The Swarm). Constellation will also mark the introductions of Rosie and Davina Coleman as Alice.
Turbine Studios and Haut et Court TV produced the show. David Tanner, Tracey Scoffield, Caroline Benjo, Simon Arnal, Carole Scotta, and Justin Thomson executive produce Constellation.
MacLaren directs the Apple TV+ drama’s first two episodes and executive produces with Rebecca Hobbs and co-executive producer Jahan Lopes for MacLaren Entertainment. Harness executive produces through Haunted Barn Ltd.
Daniel Hetzer produces for Turbine Studios, Germany, as Constellation was principally shot in Germany.
