The Boys Season 4 Key Art Reveals First Looks at Butcher and Homelander
Did you miss The Boys?
Even though Season 4 of the series from Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television doesn’t premiere until 2024, Prime Video has released first-look images of Karl Urban as Billy Butcher and Antony Starr as Homelander.
This tease of The Boys‘ fourth season comes days after Gen V Season 1 Episode 8, “Guardians of Godolkin,” brings Homelander and Butcher (in an end-credits scene) to the spinoff’s college in surprise cameos.

“I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that, by the end of season 1 of Gen V, there’s a handoff to season 4 of The Boys,” Eric Kripke, The Boys‘ showrunner and executive producer on the spinoff series, told Entertainment Weekly before Gen V‘s Season 2 renewal.
“Then whenever we break season 4 of The Boys, there will be a handoff to the hopeful season 2 of Gen V,” Kripke added.
Prime Video renewed the flagship series for a fourth season the same day that The Boys Season 3 Episode 4, “Glorious Five Year Plan,” dropped on the streaming service in June 2022.
“Speaking for the cast and crew, we’re so grateful to Sony, Amazon, and most of all the fans for embracing the show and allowing us to make more,” Kripke said about the renewal.

“We’re thrilled to continue Butcher and the Boys’ fight against Homelander and the Seven, as well as comment on the insane world we’re living in. Also, this is the first time in history that exploding genitalia has led to further success,” Kripke added.
The Boys follows “superheroes—who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods—abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good.” The series is based on The New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Roberts, who serve as executive producers.
Meanwhile, The Boys is “a group of vigilantes, [who] continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought—the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. It’s the seemingly powerless against the super powerful,” per the show’s synopsis.
Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Craig Rosenberg, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn, and Michaela Starr also executive produce. Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures also produce The Boys.
